Obituary

Robert St.Amour, age 81, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday morning July 25, 2000, at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born on July 19, 1919, in Muskegon to Joseph and Nellie (Stevens) St.Amour and was a graduate of Muskegon High School. He married Kay Williams in Fremont on June 17, 1950, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served during W. W. II. He was a retired shopkeeper for Consumers Power Company and was a member of Holton American Legion Post #397; Newaygo V. F. W. Sportsman Post #4249.; Eagles of Muskegon; Loyal Order of Moose #1555 in Fremont; and Newaygo-Pilgrim Lodge F. & A. M. He is survived by his loving wife Kay of Fremont; brother William (Lucy) Stevens of Kent City; sisters-in-law Stella St.Amour of Grand Junction, Colorado and Doris (Edward) LaBelle; brother-in-law Charles (Phyllis) Carson of Holton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Leslie. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2000, at at Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with Rev. John Mosher officiating. Military Services were presented under the direction of the Newaygo V. F. W. with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial friends are asked to consider the Fremont Area Foundation for the Newaygo County Chaplaincy Service. Envelopes are available at Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont.
