Tapert, Robert E. Robert E. Tapert, age 65 of Goodwell Township , passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2002 at his home. He was born on May 19, 1937 in St. Clair Shores to Fredrick E. and Ethel (Smith) Tapert and married his wife Mickey on June 15, 1957 in St. Clair Shores . He has been a resident of the Newaygo County area for the past 10 years and had been a carpenter for General Dynamics until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by Mickey, his wife of 45 years; his children, Kathy (Sean) Joyce of Clarkston, MI; John (Paula) Tapert of Sterling Heights, MI; Christopher Tapert of Macomb, MI; Robert E. Tapert of Germfask, MI; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Rasch of California; Shirley (Albie) Williams of St. Clair Shores; Doris Stackpoole of Roseville, MI; Delores (Don) Collins of Apache Junction, AZ; Pearl Willette of St. Clair Shores;MI; Ruth Wiley of St. Clair Shores, MI; brothers, Fred (Helen) Tapert of Fraser, MI; Edwin (Doris) Tapert of California; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 19, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Richard A. Crandell celebrant.
