Robert J. VanOver, age 49 of Holton, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home following a lifelong battle with heart disease. Robert was born on August 27, 1962 in Muskegon to Gilbert and Joan (French) VanOver and has been a resident of the Holton area for the past 20 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, going to mud runs, and going to yard sales where he could always make a deal. Bob is survived by his significant other, Cathy Adams of Holton; his children, Candice (Robert) Hammond of Muskegon; Robert VanOver Jr. of Hesperia; Ashley VanOver (James Jones) of Hesperia; his mother, Joan French (special friend, Al Spaulding) of Fremont; his father, Gilbert (Evelyn Jennie) VanOver of Grant; 10 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Gil Sonny (Cheryl) VanOver of Pine Grove, California; Bonnie Fisher of Ohio; Rick (Shirleen) VanOver of Reed City; Linda (Rich) Hardenburg of Zeeland; Art (Mary) Puls of Kentwood; little Linda (Jerry) Vaughn of Newaygo; his uncle, David (Marsha) VanOver; Cathys sons, Eric Ennis of Holton; Brian Ennis of Fremont; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
