Roger Thomas Marshall, age 65 of Newaygo, went into the arms of his heavenly Father on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Roger was born on April 29, 1952 in Manistee, Michigan to Leroy and Ruth (Gunnersen) Marshall and later graduated from Fremont High School in 1970. Roger married Traci Rose on January 28, 1978 in Fremont. Roger had worked in the facilities department at Nestle – Gerber for 47 years and was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church where he had been active with the finance committee. Roger enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, working in his yard and being in the Michigan outdoors, woodworking, was an avid U of M fan, but especially treasured his time being a father and grandfather. Roger is survived by his wife of 40 years, Traci of Newaygo; his children, Tricia (Jeremy) Siegers of Mansfield, Texas and Arron (Devin) Marshall of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa Millis of Mesquite, Texas; Alec Millis of Fremont; Sylas Marshall of Grand Rapids; Crosby Marshall of Grand Rapids; his brothers, Jim (Becky) Marshall of Muskegon; Jon Marshall of Manistee; Bryan (Tammy) Marshall of Manistee; Steve Marshall of Grand Rapids; Mike Marshall of Frisco, Texas; Ed Bishop of Thompsonville, Michigan; his sisters, Susan (John) Hubatch of Milwaukee; Wisconsin; Margaret (Todd) Shoemate of Manistee; several nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Marshall in 2013 and his parents, Leroy Marshall and Ruth Dankowski.
