Roger Sutherland, age 63 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his home following a lingering illness. Roger was born on March 7, 1948 in Fremont to Fred and Ellen (Wildfong) Sutherland and later married Jean Alice King on April 25, 1968 in White Cloud. Roger has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where he had worked at Sparta Foundry and Speas Apple Juice Company in Fremont and enjoyed working on cars, visiting with friends and family, watching western movies on t.v. and drinking cold beer. Roger is survived by his wife, Jean of White Cloud; his mother, Ellen Sutherland of White Cloud; his children, Pauline (Lloyd) LaBelle of White Cloud; Herman (Rhonda) Sutherland of White Cloud; Sherman (Treasure) Sutherland of White Cloud; Rodney Sutherland of White Cloud; Barbara King of Newaygo; 16 grandchildren, Tammera Sutherland, George McTaggert, Audum McTaggert, Andrew McTaggert, Brooke Tripplet, Joseph Sutherland, Valerie Sutherland, Breana Sutherland, Jessica Sutherland; Robin Long, Casey Downs, Sabrina Sutherland, Felica Sutherland, Megan Sutherland, Tyler Sutherland, Justice Sutherland; 3 great grandchildren, Kalvin Long, Carter Schmuck, Dallas Downs. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 2pm with a time of visitation from 12-2 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
