Rev. Roland "Beau" Bob Minton, age 89 of Hesperia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Roland was born on November 18, 1933 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina to William Robert and Nellie Victoria (Johnson) Minton. Roland met and soon married Mazie Anderson on December 19, 1955 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina and they moved to the area in 1975. Roland had worked at RJ Woodworking in North Muskegon until his retirement but found his true occupation in the ministry. Roland graduated from the Zion Bible College and later founded the Holton House of Prayer in Holton which he and built and ministered at for several years. He enjoyed woodworking, building, gardening, joking with his grandchildren, and he and Mazie had been foster care parents in Newaygo County for several years. Roland also enjoyed driving (his own way) Roland is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mazie Ann; his children, Rickie (Germaine) Minton; Vickie (Joel) Barlow; Donna (Randy) Howard; Kevin (Lorraine) Minton; Matthew Minton; Michael Minton; Aaron Minton; DJ Minton; Victoria Minton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and foster children. MEMMORIAL SERVICES : Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10:30am at the Holton Family Life Worship Center with Pastor Chuck Kiesgen presiding.
