Ronald R. Crisler, age 81 of Newaygo and White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Ron was born on June 11, 1936 in White Cloud to Bernard A. and Margaret (Kalsbeek) Crisler. Ron attended White Cloud Public Schools and joined the United States Navy where he served during the Korean War. Ron married Arlene (Lampman) Paulsen on August 10, 1974 in Fremont. Ron had been a devoted worker at Campell Wyant and Cannon in Muskegon for many years and later at Kurdziel Iron in Rothbury until his retirement in 2001. Ron was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time in the Michigan outdoors – cutting wood and cutting grass. Ron enjoyed visiting with his friends and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife, Arlene of Newaygo; his children, Shannon (Gerald) Hoisington of Muskegon and their children, Shyann & Alec Strong; Annie (Tim) Harris of Whitehall and their children, Jordan & Hope Harris; Amanda Rusin (fiancé, Andy Bailey) of Twin Lake and her children, Emelia & Kanen Rusin; Sharene (Bill) Pence of White Cloud and their daughter, Kayla Pence; Randy (Shari) Paulsen of Fremont and their son and great grandchildren, Steven (Brandie) Paulsen and Chase & Chloe Paulsen and Taylor Rowe; son-in-law, Bruce (Wendy, dec.) Scott and their children, Zachary (Gabrielle) Scott, Melissa (Carl) Horton, Jessica Scott, Joshua (Teresa) Scott; his brothers, Keith (Mary) Crisler of Holt; Larry Crisler of White Cloud; Alan Crisler of White Cloud; brother-in-law, Gerald (Linda) Lampman of South Haven; sister-in-law, Loretta Nyson of Morley; several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy L. Paulsen Scott; son, Ross Crisler; grandson, Chad Paulsen. VISITATON : Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 11-12pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICES with MILITARY RITES : Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Paulsen Family Cemetery in White Cloud.
