Obituary

Ronald Joseph Littich beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to so many people passed away on February 10, 2011 of melanoma at the age of 61. Ron was born on Friday, the 13th day of January 1950, to Earl and Claudine Littich. Ron's greatest joy in life was being a husband, father and grandfather. At a young age, he selected Susan Mudget as the woman he wanted to spend his life with. They started dating when Susan was 16 and Ron was just 19. On Friday, the 13th day of August 1971, they were married. Ron and Susan maintained their love and dedication to the other through everything life sent their way; the joy of welcoming their children into the world, Julia Susanne was born on February 22, 1972, Amanda Jane followed shortly thereafter on May 25, 1974 and Laura Jean on June 6, 1976 through the final battle with melanoma - they remained true and dedicated to each other, finding strength in their love and support of one another. Second only to his love for his family was Ron's passion for the out-of-doors and the caring for others. Every day was an opportunity to watch the many birds that visit his deck or growing a garden where many could not. As an avid, and quite successful, hunter and fisherman, he was always preparing a beautiful meal for anyone that stopped over. However, he will be most fondly remembered for his homemade corn tortillas. Ron is survived by his wife Susan (Mudget) Littich, his daughters Julia (Ryan) Benton and Amanda (Russell) Christiansen, his five beautiful grandchildren Amelia Dickinson, Hayley and Isaac Towers and Gretchen and Josephine Parish, step-grandchildren Elyssa (Tyler) Warmbein, Nickolas, Kasey, Ashley, and Destiny Benton and Fisher Christiansen and great-grandson Aiven Warmbein, his brothers and sisters Kathleen Thompson, Earl James (Darce) Littich, Diana Rose Kelley, Fred (Cindy) Littich, Mary (Anthony) Wydeck, and Karen (Ross) Lucas and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter Laura, his parents, sister Dora Keister and brother Frank Littich. A celebration of Rons life will be held on Sunday, the 13th day of February, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Dogwood Performing Arts Center in Fremont, Michigan. Every person who knew Ron was better for the opportunity. The family requests that any remembrances for Ron be sent to the Melanoma Research Foundation (https://donations.melanoma.org/cart/checkout)
