Ronald M. Lynnes, age 71 of White Cloud, passed away, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Corewell Gerber Hospital in Fremont following a short illness. Ron was born on August 9, 1951 in Fremont to Donald M. and Joyce (Thornbury) Lynnes and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1969. Ron married Marsha Fowler on August 18, 1990 in White Cloud and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Ron had worked as the activities director at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont for several years, later was a driver for the Newaygo County Commission on Aging and retired as the Activities Director at the Newaygo County Commission On Aging Adult Program. Ron enjoyed horses, cattle and ranching and worked on several ranches out West and traveled and competed on the rodeo circuit for a period of time - calf and team roping as well as steer wrestling. Ron was an active member of the Country Bible Church and active volunteer in the White Cloud community where he played guitar and sang at many churches and activities throughout West Michigan. Ron however, truly cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife, Marsha; his children, Heath ((Julie) Lynnes; Candice (Scott) Slizewski; Mike (Celine) Scarlavai; Darek (Michelle) Scarlavai; his grandchildren, Kendra, Lekae (Ben), Ethan, Carsyn, Trace, Lily, Mackinzie, Trent, Nicolas; his great grandchildren, Mason and Aliza; his brothers, Mike Lynnes; Jack Lynnes; sisters, Dawn Beerman; Susan Finnell. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Don Lynnes; his mother, Joyce Lynnes; and his brother, Lee Lynnes.
