Ronald D. Mollett, age 75 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services Fremont. Ron was born on February 15, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio and moved to the Fremont area at an early age. Ron met and later married Debra Sue Briggs on February 14, 1987 in Fremont and Debra Sue preceded him in death on January 26, 2002. Ron had worked at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 35 years until his retirement and enjoyed playing pool and darts, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ron also enjoyed the Michigan outdoors and taking care of his animals. Ron served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children and their families, Carl (Carol) West and children, Rachel and C.J. of Fremont; Don (Melissa) West and children, Jessalyn and Chloe of Fremont; Kim Robart (fianc, Dave Thompson) and sons, Kevv and Nathan Mollett of Fremont; Ron Mollett of Poncha Springs, Colorado; Rhonda (Cliff) Turner of Palmyra, Tennessee; Charles (Marijean) Mollett of Muskegon; several grandchildren; his sister, Nancy Warner of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nelson and Velma Mollett. A time of gathering and remembrance was held on Sunday, January 4, 2008 at 2pm at One East Main Restaurant in Fremont where friends may gather and share memories of Ron.
