Ronald Lee Overbeek, age 76, of Hesperia, and formerly of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Corewell Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids. Ron was born on September 9, 1946, in Holland to Marvin and Hermina H. (Scierbeek) Overbeek and later married Jacquelyn Sue Sartwell in Holland. Ron had worked as a heating and cooling technician and enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting wooden ducks and old clocks. Ron loved animals and took great pride in working on his cars. Ron is survived by his wife, Jacki; children, Annette Marie (Randy) Potter of Grand Haven and Dale Sartwell of Fremont; grandchildren, Crystal Ann Dawe and Adam Scott Dawe; nieces and nephews and their families, Jocelyn Meade, Seth Overbeek, Zack Overbeek, Levi Overbeek, Charity Vera, and Lacey Dryer; and special friends Joe Rumsey and Bob Fisher. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom Overbeek and Dale Overbeek. There will not be any services at this time. Friends may share memories and condolences online at www.crandellfh.com.
