Ronald Steven Taylor, 62, of Wilton Manors Florida, Formerly of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Ron was born August 28, 1963, the son of Harry and Elizabeth Taylor. He married his long time partner Paul Vanderkooi on October 4, 2017. Ron earned his masters degree and was a smart intelligent man. He enjoyed genealogy, traveling, playing organ and his dog, Buca. He was a caring, generous man with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.

Ron is survived by: his husband Paul; children, Eric Vanderkooi and Andrew (Ashlee) Vanderkooi; grandchildren, Isabelle and Eliza; brother, Richard (Patricia) Taylor; sisters, Barbara Weller, Susan Cronk, and Kay (Dudley) Smith; and mother-in-law, Louise Young.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brother-in-law, Joseph Cronk.

Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Crandell Funeral Home 1109 Court St. White Cloud Michigan. A graveside service will follow at Newaygo City Cemetery.
