Rose Marie Jarvis, age 91 of White Cloud, formerly of Newaygo and Grosse Isle, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the Corewell Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Rose was born on July 30, 1932 in Rockwood, Michigan to Doras Arthur and Aurelia Ida (Venier) Metzger and married the love of her life, John Jarvis in 1955. John preceded her in death in July 1999. John had worked at Michigan Bell Telephone and Rose a homemaker until their retirement in 1989 when they moved to Newaygo. Rose was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo and enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandsons as well as traveling. Rose is survived by her sons, Robert John Jarvis of Swanton, Maryland; Duane Michael (Wendy) Jarvis of White Cloud; grandsons, Matthew John Jarvis of White Cloud and Charles Matthew Jarvis of White Cloud; her sister-in-law, Doreen Metzger of Dearborn, Michigan. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, John Jarvis; her son, Michael Gerard Jarvis; her daughter-in-law, Kathie Jarvis; her brother, Roland Metzger; brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Beverly Metzger. Following her wishes, graveside services will be held at the Michigan Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan with her sons and grandsons in attendance.
