Rosemary Ann Balczak, age, 79, of Manistee passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Munson Hospital in Cadillac. Rosemary was born on July 12, 1943, in Grand Rapids to Reynold and Bernice (Saller) Zerfas and had worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan in the Grand Rapids and Manistee offices for over thirty years. Rosemary enjoyed visiting lighthouses and traveling. Rosemary is survived by her children, Daniel Higgins of Manistee, Dennis Higgins of Walker, and Deb Higgins of White Cloud; brothers, Dick (Donna) Zerfas, Henry (Wendy) Zerfas, and Ron (Pam) Zerfas; sister-in-law, Sharon Zerfas; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Balczak and brother, Tom Zerfas.
