Roslyn K. VanTrease, age 74 of White Cloud, formerly of Charlotte, Michigan and Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her home following a short illness. Roslyn was born on August 25, 1939 in Ludington to Oliver Doc and Lucille H. (Brzezniak) Willis. Roslyn graduated from Grand Valley State College with a Bachelors Degree. Roslyn moved to Las Vegas in 1980 and had been the Deputy County Clerk for 16 years until her retirement and then moved back to Michigan. Roslyn had been a licensed Herbalist, specializing in homeopathic medicines and enjoyed basket weaving and butterflies. Roslyn is survived by her children, Sharon K. Nelson (Mack McMaster) of White Cloud; Sheila J. (John) Eggelston of Charlotte; Sarah A. VanTrease of White Cloud; Thomas H. (Michele R.) VanTrease of Howard City; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; her brother, Russel Joe (Sharon) Willis of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie P. VanTrease and her son, Stuart W. VanTrease. Memorial services will be held in the spring 2014 at the family home following cremation.
