Ingram, Roy Z. Roy Z. Ingram, age 79 of Holton, passed away Thursday evening, March 3, 2005 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Roy was born on February 7, 1926 in Nettleton, Arkansas to Claude and Frances (Proffer) Ingram and later married Bonnie Jean Ballard on May 20, 1944 in Muskegon. Roy has been a lifelong resident of the area where he had worked as a core maker at Campbell Wyant Cannon, currently Textron in Muskegon until his retirement in 1978. Roy started farming for farm bureau after his retirement. He was a member of the Michigan Pork Producers Association.; enjoyed raising and showing hunting dogs; and was a member of the Port City Beagle Club. Roy was also a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie of Holton; his children, David (Sharon) Ingram of Marysville, Michigan; Rose (Keith) Perry of Cedar Springs; Joan (Malcom) Robertson of Port Huron; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his sisters, Nordell Myers of Grand Rapids; Barbara Green of Muskegon Heights; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his children, Opal in 1952, Fred 1987 and Ralph 2004; by his sisters, Betty Larson; Madeline Gilchrist and by his brother, Jim. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 6, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor Richard Mead presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton.
