Roy Lee Walker Sr., age 67, of Holton, went to be home with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Roy was born on September 23, 1944, in Muskegon, to Frank Nicholas and Beatrice (Grinnewald) Walker and married Linda Hinton on July 3, 1965, in Muskegon. Roy was a retired tool and die maker from Knoll in Muskegon and enjoyed gardening, gaming, and his dogs, Emmy and Bruno. Roy is survived by his wife, Linda; children Lisa (Mark) Jensen of Whitehall, Denise (Charlie Lathrop) Walker-Hall of Fremont, and Roy Lee (Janet Trevino) Walker II of Whitehall; 3 grandchildren, Zachary, Makenzie, and Jamie; sister and brothers, Linda (Jack) Paulsen of Muskegon, Frank (Peg) Walker of Fremont, and Bill (Pam) Walker of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 11AM at the Fremont Wesleyan Church with visitation on Thursday evening from 5-8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the Fremont Wesleyan Church or the West Michigan Worship Center in Muskegon. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
