Kuenzer Jr., Russell E. Russell E. Kuenzer Jr., age 71 of Fremont, formerly of Bear Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home. Russell was born on August 25, 1938 in Pontiac to Russell and Elenore (Johnson) Kuenzer Sr. After graduation, Russell joined the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years from 1956 - 1960. Upon his discharge, Russell returned to the Manistee area where he became a teller at Security National Bank and continued his career of 37 years in the banking industry until he became Vice President for the FMB Bank in Manistee and retired in 1992. In 1993, he along with his wife, Janice, purchased the Fremont Laundromat which they owned and operated until his 2nd retirement on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Russell married Janice Fauble Hunt on December 18, 1982 in Bear Lake. Russell enjoyed boating, flying, golfing, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS : wife, Jan of Fremont; his daughters, Sheryl Kuenzer; Ruth (Mitchell) Krysiak; Jennifer (Tim) Arnold all of Manistee, Michigan; step children, Duane Hunt (Sharren Morgan) of Ann Arbor; Scott (Beata) Hunt of Pierport, Michigan; Larry (Theresa) Hunt of Traverse City; 10 grandchildren; his sister, Charlotte Holly of Bloomington, Indiana; his brother, Clifford Kuenzer Sr. of Manistee; nieces and nephews, Chris Holly, Dee Holly, Clifford Kuenzer Jr., Anne Rhodea; Stuart Kuenzer. Preceded in death by his grandson, Knute Krysiak. Private memorial services will be held at a later time following his wishes for cremation. Friends may consider the Kuenzer family to assist with funeral expenses for memorial contributions in memory of Russell. My favorite times are when i would come in and there was something between russ and i cause he could never not give me a hard time...I look forward to that each and everytime. I know many people loved him and he will be greatly missed, but take heart because this isn't goodbye this is see ya later to him.
