July 4, 1935 – December 2, 2016
Russell L. "Pete" Kerbersky, age 81 of Hesperia and most recently of Hart, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Mercy Health Partners – Sherman Campus. Pete was born on July 4, 1935 in Muskegon Heights to Edward and Elnora (Cole) Kerbersky and later married Virginia Burnette on June 20, 1959 in Muskegon. Pete has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area and had worked as a truck driver for several years at the DECC Company in Grand Rapids and later at Goodwill Industries in Muskegon with his wife until their retirement. Pete attended the Ferry Wesleyan Church and enjoyed helping people, taking care of his yard, hunting, fishing, taking rides on his pontoon boat, and enjoyed his pets throughout his lifetime.
Pete is survived by his wife of 57 years whom he always called "beautiful", Virginia of Hart; his brother, Ed (Pam) Kerbersky of Muskegon; friends, Janet & Mark Stitt; Jim & Sue Tuffelmire; Sam & Barb Erickson; Thelma & Al Carr; Marilyn Schooley; and lots of friends. Pete was preceded in death by his sisters, Darlene Basham and Elaine Kerbersky; his brothers, Azhel Kerbersky and Dan Kerbersky.
MEMORIAL SERVICES : Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ferry Wesleyan Church 2227 Main Street Shelby MI 49455. Luncheon will follow the memorial services at the community center in Ferry. GRAVESIDE SERVICES : Monday, December 5, 2016 at 2:45 at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Harbor Hospice
