Russell Alan Sutton, age 53 of Holton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Lansing. Russell was born on May 13, 1964 in Muskegon to James S. and Virginia Mae (Gilland) Sutton and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Russell had worked as a construction worker for C-Boys Construction for the past 10 years with commercial construction projects throughout the State of Michigan. Russell enjoyed gaming, playing Keno, was always willing to help others but especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. Russell is survived by his life partner, Bobbie Faye Welch of Twin Lake; his children, Michael Sutton of Twin Lake; Joseph (Kelli Kaye Boone) Calabrese of Twin Lake; Johnathon (Jenna Shook) Calabrese of Twin Lake; his mother, Virginia Sutton of Twin Lake; his step children, Melissa (Josh) Riley; Bud Potter; Rick Welch; Michael Welch; Sara Welch; 24 grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Sherri (Art) Sokolowski of Montague; Jimmy (Marcy) Sutton of Twin Lake; Steve Sutton of Twin Lake; Crinda Sokolowski of Walkerville; several nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his father, James Sutton; his brother-in-law, Lewis Sokolowski; his nephew, Josiah Sutton; great nephew, infant Josiah Sutton.
