Ruth E. Cruzan, age 89 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Ruth was born on November 10, 1921 in Boulder, Colorado to L.C. Leroy and Minnie (Potter) Davis and later married Marion Cruzan on October 26, 1945 in Boulder, Colorado. Marion preceded her in death on January 4, 2011. Ruth had been the Newaygo County District Court Clerk from 1970 until her retirement in 1983. Ruth enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading and enjoyed traveling and camping. Ruth was also a non lymphoma cancer survivor. Ruth was an active member of the White Cloud Seventh Day Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Cruzan (special friend, Mark Weatherford) of White Cloud; Duane (Luann) Cruzan of White Cloud; Edward (Cathy) Cruzan of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her brother, Leroy Davis of La Junta, Colorado; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Duane Davis, Dorothy Lusic, Juanita Lucic, Marilyn Davis, Barbara White, Shirley Cruzan. VISITATION : Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 3-5pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, October 24, 2011 at 1pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in White Cloud.
