Graves, Ruth C. Ruth C. Graves, age 79 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday evening, December 20, 2006 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on December 27, 1926 in Port-O-Prince, Haiti to Edward Jerome and Beulah (Boston) Kintz. She met and married A. John Graves on February 1, 1947 in White Cloud and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1999. Ruth has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she ran Graves Sport Shop with her husband for 42 years and also owned Ruths Yarn Shop in White Cloud for 33 years until her retirement. Ruth had been active in the White Cloud Community for many years, living on Robinson Lake and enjoying fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud, enjoyed playing cards, was a member of the Bridge club, enjoyed bowling in her younger years and was a knitter, knitting many items for NCCS. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Rick) Sharp of Newaygo; Therese (Kevin) Crisman of White Cloud; Marce (Steve) Hansen of White Cloud; John (Shannon) Graves of White Cloud; 13 grandchildren, Curt (Melissa) Sharp; Brent (Courtney) Foondle; Cathy (Dennis) Cardosa; Larry (Bianca) Sharp; Andy (Roni) Crisman; Sandy (Kyle) DeBlake; Dana Hansen; Warren Hansen; Amanda Graves; Kassie Graves; Ethan Shoemaker; Emma Graves; Johnny Graves; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. John Graves on July 10, 1999 and by her son, Richard J. Graves on June 23, 1994 Funeral Mass Services were held on Monday, January 1, 2007 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may consider the White Cloud Library for large print books for memorial contributions in memory of Ruth.
