Ruth Violet Kuhns, age 88 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Ruth was born on March 29, 1926 in Goodwell Township to Eli P. and Elizabeth (Chupp) Kuhns and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud Area. Ruth had worked at Ben Franklin in Fremont from 1960 until her retirement in 1988 and then worked part time at Birds Food Market in Fremont until 1993. Ruth was a lifelong member of the White Cloud Mennonite Church where she had served as secretary and treasurer for several years and had also been a secretary at Kuhn Brothers Well Drilling for several years. Ruth enjoyed needlework, walking in the woods and crossword puzzles which she did up until her passing. Ruth is survived by her brother, Lenus (Ada) Kuhns of White Cloud; her sisters, Barbara Holleman of Nashville, Tennessee; Betty (Delbert) Burkholder of White Cloud; sister-in-laws, Barbara Kuhns of White Cloud; Christina Kuhns of White Cloud; and Ruby Kuhns of Newaygo; many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan Fredenburg, Clara Fredenburg; her brothers, Ira Kuhns, Martin Kuhns, Edwin Kuhns, Rev. David Kuhns, Jonas Kuhns, Eli Kuhns, and William Kuhns. VISITATION : Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 9-11am at the White Cloud Mennonite Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11am at the White Cloud Mennonite Church.
