Larkin, Ruth L. Ruth L. Larkin, age 81, of Alma, formerly of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the Michigan Masonic Home in Alma. Ruth was born on March 29, 1924 in Lobelville, Tennessee to Charles and Sallie (Leeper) Burns and married Ord Wesley Larkin on June 8, 1948 in Detroit. Ord preceded her in death on October 25, 1983. She moved to the Hesperia area in 1950 from Arkansas and had been a homemaker. She had been a member of the Hesperia United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eureka Chapter #38, OES in Hesperia where she had held several offices. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Benedict of Monticello, Florida; her grandchildren, Brian Benedict of Grand Rapids; Patricia (Jimmy) Townsend of Monticello, Florida; her great granddaughter, Ali Marie Townsend. Eastern Star Memorial Services were held on Friday, May 27, 2005 at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with interment in the West Hesperia Cemetery.
