Jones, Sally Sally Jones, age 48 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 29, 2006 at her home. Sally was born on October 25, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to E.J. and Evelyn (Haddix) Jones and later moved to the White Cloud area in 1966 from Battle Creek. Sally graduated from White Cloud High School in 1975 and continued her education at Central Michigan University where she majored in English, Math and received her Masters Degree in Economics. Sally started her career in the insurance industry and also had been involved in food service. She had been a professor at Baker College in Muskegon and Fremont for several years teaching English, Mathematics and Economics and most recently has been an independent journalist for the Fremont Times Indicator, Newaygo County Today and Muskegon Chronicle. Sally enjoyed her animals, gardening, cooking, being in the Michigan outdoors and nature surrounding her and Leons farm in White Cloud and visiting with friends on the telephone. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Leon Fox of White Cloud; her parents, E.J. & Evelyn Jones of White Cloud; her sisters, Karan (Steve) Palchak of Wixom; Cindy (Tom) Voelz of Wixom; Shannon Jones of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Carol Fox of White Cloud; sisters-in-laws, Phylis Harris of White Cloud; Shirley (Del) Bontrager of Kent City; Norma Fox of Grand Rapids; her special friend, Joyce Pearson of Fremont; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A time of remembrance will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 5 8pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. Following Sallys request, there will be no funeral services at this time.
