Salvatore “Sam” Pirozzo Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 27, 2026. He was born on September 13, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Salvatore and Mary Ann (Perllerito) Pirozzo.

Sam was a one-of-a-kind man with many talents, a unique personality, and a way of living life that was unmistakably his own. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, whether it was cracking open a cold Miller High Life, spending time outdoors, or taking rides around Diamond Lake on his scooter. He especially enjoyed those rides with his best friend and partner in crime, Duke, by his side. Sam had his own way of doing things, and it was those little things that made him who he was. He will be remembered for his individuality, the memories he created, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Sam is survived by his wife, Brenda Pirozzo; two sons, Shawn (Sara) Pirozzo and Brandon (Jess) Pirozzo; siblings, Joann (CJ) Torrance, Larry (Maureen) Pirozzo, Clara (Brian) Gage, Peter (Kathy) Pirozzo, and Betty (Keith) Bird; brother-in-law, Ken; grandchildren, Shane, Zach, Bailey, Jeno and Eli Pirozzo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Mary Ann (Perllerito) Pirozzo; his sister, Annette Telesko; and his niece, Sammy Pirozzo.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to their GoFundMe or to the family to help with expenses during this difficult time.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hope Hall, 601 N. Evergreen Dr. White Cloud MI, 49349. The family will share a eulogy and a few words in Sam’s memory at 12:15 p.m., followed by a luncheon.
