Samuel L. Moore, age 63 of Hesperia, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Sam was born on March 12, 1957 in Muskegon to Samuel Finley and Marjorie Ila (Miller) Moore and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area. Sam married Shirley Clark on June 24, 2006. Sam graduated from Hesperia High School in 1975 and worked in the construction and foundry industry until he started work at Gerber Products Company in Fremont where he worked for 28 years until his retirement. Samuel had been an active volunteer for over 30 years at the Hesperia American Legion Post #411 where he had served on the Honor Guard and at the many dinners hosted by the legion. Samuel enjoyed helping others, had a great taste in music and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. Samuel is survived by his wife, Shirley of Hesperia; his children and grandchildren, Deana (Jeff) Bjork and their children, Will and Wyatt of Rockford; Rebecca (Jake) Ward and their children, Jaxon and Jaymeson of Rockford; Sam (Bethany) Moore III and their daughter, Adrienne of Muskegon; his brother, Chuck (Dee) Moore of Dorr; his sister, Helen (Dave) Walker of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Crow. Celebration of Life Services will be on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 2pm at the Hesperia American Legion.
