Chapman, Sarah Jane Sarah Jane Chapman, age 92, of White Cloud passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Metron of Big Rapids. She was born on May 26, 1912, to Emory and Laura (Krout) Newumun in Big Rapids and married Lloyd Chapman on May 16, 1931, in Hastings. She was a former member of the Big Rapids Baptist Church. Sarah is survived by her children, Betty (Harry) Steinberg of Otsego, Joyce Cruz of Lansing, Sharon (Lenny) Chavez of New Mexico, and Dale Chapman of White Cloud; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother Dan Newumun of South Haven. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in 1961; brother, George; and son, Lloyd Bud Chapman. Interment is in Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell.
