Sarah Jane Pearce, age 64 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday evening, March 13, 2002 at her home. She was born on February 4, 1938 to Frank and Helen (Bills) Hardegen in Indianapolis, Indiana and later married Richard Pearce. Richard preceded her in death in November of 2000. She had been a cosmetologist in Brethren, Michigan and Grand Rapids prior to moving to Fremont. She is survived by her daughter; Tammy (Gene) Baker of Sand Lake; two grandchildren, Joel and Leah; three sisters, Julie Heathman of Indianpolis, Indiana; Mary (Bill) McMillian of Indianpolis, Indiana; Helen Moeller of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces. Funeral memorial services were held in May in Grand Rapids. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation for Hospice of Michigan or Bellwether Foundation for memorial contributions.
