Sarah Ann VanTrease, age 57 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Sarah was born on December 11, 1961 in Heidelberg, Germany to John Thomas "JT" and Roslyn K. (Willis) VanTrease and moved to the White Cloud area in October 2013. Sarah had been a data entry and researcher for credit reporting for several years and had enjoyed fishing with her father in her younger years, playing cards and spending time with family. She was also an avid Detroit Lions fan. Sarah is survived by her sister, Sharon K. Nelson (Mack McMaster) of White Cloud; Sheila J. (John) Eggelston of Charlotte; Thomas H. VanTrease of Greenville; her son, Alex Herrington; her grandson, Lucas; 1 uncle, Russel "Joe" (Sharon) Willis of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Roslyn VanTrease on December 5, 2013; by her father, John Thomas "JT" VanTrease; by her sister, Stephanie P. VanTrease and by her brother, Stuart W. VanTrease. A celebration of life service will be held at the family home. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation for memorial contributions in memory of Sarah.
