Scott D. Cruickshank, age 65 of Hesperia, passed away following a 4 year battle, that he fought hard, with cancer. Scott was born on March 18, 1956 in Detroit to William "Bud" and Barbara (Miller) Cruickshank and later met and married Patricia Marie "Patty" Martin on December 1, 1990 in Hesperia. Patty preceded him in death on November 15, 2021. Scott has been a longtime resident of the area where he had been a millwright. Scott enjoyed being in the Michigan outdoors, building and construction projects, talking and telling stories with friends and families, and traveling to Beaver Island to see family. Scott was a person always willing to lend a hand to anyone but was always the last to ask for help when he needed it. Scott is survived by is son, Grant Cruickshank of Hesperia; his brother, Dan Cruickshank of Hastings; sister-in-law, Debbie Cruickshank of Royal Oak; several brothers-in-laws; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Patty; his parents, William "Bud" and Barbara Cruickshank; his brothers, Brian, William and Grant Allen Cruickshank.
