Sharie A. Geeting, age 72 of Fremont, passed away Monday, June 02, 2014 at her home following a battle against cancer. Sharie was born on October 10, 1941 in Muskegon to John and Rebecca Lillian (Harrison) Middlecamp and moved to the Fremont area in 1961 from Muskegon. Sharie met and married Brad Geeting on May 18, 1996 in Fremont. Sharie had started work at Continental Motors Company and later started work at Speas Apple Juice in 1977 in the billing department and later became an administrative assistant at Proctor and Gamble in Fremont until the company was closed in Fremont and had also owned and operated Pet Palace in Fremont for several years. She then started work at Edward Jones in Fremont and later started work as a secretary at Crandell Funeral Homes in 1999 until her retirement. Sharie was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, had been a volunteer with Hospice of Michigan; Heartland Hospice where she enjoyed crocheting many afghans for patients and had been a Kids Hope Mentor for several years. She was a life member of the GWRRA Motorcycle Club; was an avid bowler in her younger years on various travel leagues, and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Fremont. Sharie enjoyed camping, traveling but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. SURVIVORS : husband Brad of Fremont; daughter, Cindy L. (Mike) Cooper of Fountain, MI; son, Troy (Danielle) Hendrie of Fremont; grandchildren, Evan Michael and Seth Michael Cooper; James and Seth Booth; Brody Robert Hendrie; step children, Shelly (Doug) Ekkel; Jon (Cindy) Geeting; Marc (Lisa) Geeting; her sisters, Grace A. Monczynski of West Bloomfield; Ruth Ann (Wes) VanDam of Fruitport; several 2nd nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Menting on September 21, 2010 VISITATION : Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5-8 pm and Thursday 12-1 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
