Sharon L. (Puffpaff) McDowell, age 73 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at her home. Sharon was born on January 30, 1940 to Alfred and Patricia (Vancouvering) Leahy and later married Michael McDowell on February 29, 2008 in Apopka, Florida. Sharon had been a homemaker and was a member of the Croton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, camping, spending time on her houseboat but especially treasured her time being a grandma. Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughters, Crystal (Martin) Pelletier of Apopka, Florida; Colette Puffpaff (Bill) of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Misty Jo Stencel of White Cloud; Nick Buchholz of White Cloud; 3 great grandchildren, Kris, Alexis, and Connor; her sisters and brothers, Shannon John of Apopka, Florida; Marsha (Don) of Utica, Michigan; Mike (Marla) of Grand Rapids; Tim (Jennifer) of St. Petersburg, Florida; Linda (Dick) of Kalamazoo; Laura (Barry) of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews; and was known to many in the community as mom and grandma. Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri Lee Bryant on November 17, 1995.
