Sharon Kay Nelson, a beloved member of the White Cloud, Michigan community, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 67. Born in Manhattan, Kansas, on October 2, 1958, Sharon brought joy, warmth, and kindness to everyone she met throughout her life.

A devoted caretaker, Sharon dedicated much of her life to helping others with her compassionate nature and nurturing spirit. Sharon's passion for gardening and yard work was evident in the beautiful, flourishing spaces she created, which served as a sanctuary for both nature and family gatherings. Her love for cultivating the earth mirrored the care and dedication she bestowed upon those she loved.

Sharon is survived by her cherished significant other, Dale McMaster (Mack); her children Erika Nelson, EJ Nelson, Jessica (Brian) Balder, Mackenzie (Clarence) Weems, and Denise Banks; as well as 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Thomas VanTrease, and Sheila (John) Eggleston. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, John and Roslyn (Willis) VanTrease; her son, Edward VanTrease; her siblings Sarah VanTrease, Stuart VanTrease, and Stephanie VanTrease; and her sister-in-law, Michelle VanTrease.

Family members and friends will be welcomed to celebrate Sharon's life during a visitation at Crandell Funeral Home - White Cloud Chapel on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - White Cloud Chapel.
