Sharon Welch, age 63 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, November 26, 2001 at her home following a short illness. She was born on August 22, 1938 in Lansing and has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 40 years where she was a homemaker. She had enjoyed her children and grandchildren, was an avid reader; had been active in various water sports activities on Diamond Lake and had been a AA Intervention Aid for several years. She is survived by her father, Alfred Swierczynski of White Cloud; her children, Michael W. (Tammy) Ballance of White Cloud and their children, Chad Craig, Jamie Elizabeth, Michelle Marie; Mark (Vicki) Ballance of White Cloud and their children, Nicholas Ryan, Jeffrey Michael; Michelle Lynn (Robert) Jones of White Cloud and their children, Daniel Ryan (Melissa) Smith and son, Ryan Scott; Douglas Scott Smith; Amber Marie Jones; Ashley Lynn Jones; Mitchell Duane McClintic of White Cloud and children, Justin Michael, Brandon Mitchell; Daniel Charles (Rita Michelle) Welch of White Cloud and their children, Travis Michael Snyder, Joshua Adam Snyder, Katylyn Nicole Welch, Chad Daniel Welch. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Elizabeth Swierczynski on April 6, 1996 and her father, Ford R. Frizzel. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, December 1, 2001 from the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Jacquish presiding. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the White Cloud Area Library or the Newaygo County Commission on Aging for memorial contributions.
