Sherry Joan Phillips, age 65, of Hesperia passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Sherry was born on September 14, 1951, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Paul and Ethel Mae (Martin) Perkins and later married Duane Anthony Phillips on July 29, 1995, in White Cloud. Earlier in her life Sherry had owned and operated a daycare and enjoyed babysitting and watching children. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, cooking (especially her home made fudge), country music, and watching her hummingbirds outside her window. She was a quilter and took great pride in making quilts for her family and looked forward to visiting and social gatherings with friends.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Duane; children Tammy Lynn Cooper of Lowell and Duane "DJ" Anthony (Emily) Phillips Jr. of Hesperia; stepson, Steven Michael (Mary) Phillips of Petoskey; grandchildren, Halley Lynnes, Alyssa Lynnes, Jackson Lynnes, Robin Phillips, Brody Phillips, Travis Arnold, Cody Arnold, and Jeffrey Arnold; great-grandson, Ryder Lynnes; brothers, Earl (CJ) France of Florida, Jeff (Sandie) Perkins of Lowell, and Terry (Mary) Perkins of Newaygo. She was preceded in death by brothers, James Perkins and Gary Perkins.

A Celebration of Sherry's Life will be held at 11AM, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with a vistiation from 10-11am at the funeral home.
