Shirlee A. Stover Lewis, age 75, of Holton passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her home. Shirlee was born on October 3, 1938, in Charlotte, Michigan to Carl H. and Bernita J. (Herrington) Clum and later married H. William Lewis on February 1, 2003 in Bradenton, Florida. Shirlee was the Director at the Newaygo County Council for the Arts (NCCA) from 1993-2003 where she retired. Shirlee enjoyed reading, garage-sales, gardening, and was a bird lover. She sang in the choir, was a member of the Holton United Methodist Church and the Laura Circle. Shirlee is survived by her loving husband Bill; children, Carter Norman (Julyn) Clements Jr. of Cadillac and Daniel (Kimberly Coln) Clements of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Christie and Brandon; and sister, Marty (Bill) Lockery of Newaygo. She was preceded in death by her son, David Robert Clements on February 27, 2004 and her sister, Jacquelyn Winks on March 10, 2011. There will be a memorial service for Shirlee at 11 AM, on Thursday December 12, 2013 at the Holton United Methodist Church with interment in Clark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider donations to Heartland Hospice of Fremont or the Holton United Methodist Church. Friends may share condolences and memories online at crandellfh.com.
