Cruzan, Shirley A. Shirley A. Cruzan, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Nelsons Adult Foster Care Home following a long illness. She was born on July 20, 1920 in Boulder, Colorado to Roy and Minnie (Potter) Davis and married Don Cruzan on November 17, 1945 in Boulder, Colorado and shortly thereafter moved to White Cloud. She has been a homemaker and was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in White Cloud where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, and traveling to the church conferences around the United States. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don of White Cloud; her children, Sam (Sandy) Cruzan of White Cloud; Dale (Carol) Cruzan of White Cloud; Janis (John) May of Walker; her grandchildren, Lee Cruzan, Becky Kuhns, Todd Cruzan, Troy Cruzan, Stacy May; her great grandchildren, Issabelle Cruzan; Madaline Cruzan; Jeremiah Kuhns; Jacob Cruzan; Troyer Cruzan; her sisters, Juanita Lusic of Venture, California; Dorothy Lusic of Ventura, California; Ruth (Marian) Cruzan of White Cloud; her brother, LeRoy (Rosie) Davis of La Junta, Colorado; her sister-in-law, Mary Davis of Denver Colorado. She was preceded in death by her brother, Duane Davis, her sisters, Barbara White and Marilyn Davis. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Bernie Wethington of the Seventh Day Baptist Church presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
