Shirley Ann (France) Zenk, age 86 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. Shirley was born on January 13, 1933 in Denver Township to Clayton and Velda (Eddy) Maynard. Shirley married Charles France and he preceded her in death in 1964. She later married Ronald Zenk on November 12, 1966 in White Cloud. Shirley has been a lifelong resident of the area where she had worked at White Cloud Products, Gerber Products and later retired from Hesperia IGA as a cashier. Shirley attended the Country Bible Church and also Hesperia Baptist Church and enjoyed being involved in the church activities. Shirley also enjoyed camping and crocheting and treasured the time she spent with her family – children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband, Ronald of Fremont; her children, Charles E. France Jr. of Hesperia; Sheila (Barry) Flinton of White Cloud; Marjorie (Bradley) Harrald of Hesperia; Wanda Louzon of Wolf Lake; Barbie (Kevin) Barnhard of Muskegon; Sandy (John) Tennesen of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Judy (Dave) Golden of Muskegon; Kay (Dan) Rossiter of Montague; Linda, (Jay) Jones of Hesperia; Terry (Bev) Maynard of Hesperia; Randy (Marleen) Maynard of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Edna, Clayton, Eldon, Gloria, Donald, Morris, Deloris, Wayne and Teddy.
