Shirley A. Grego, age 57 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, October 04, 2013 at her home following a short battle with cancer. Shirley was born on November 28, 1955 in Grand Rapids and married Daniel Grego on May 18, 1973 in Wyoming. Shirley moved to the White Cloud area in 1980 from Wyoming and had been a teachers aide at Newaygo High School for many years until her retirement on June 1, 2013. Shirley truly enjoyed her work with special needs children all her life; enjoyed camping, quilting, knitting, and scrapbooking with the girls. Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newaygo. Shirley is survived by her husband of 42 years, Daniel of White Cloud; her sons, Daniel J. (Amanda Bush) Grego of Muskegon; Louis J. (Joanie) Grego of Cadiz, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Justin, Autumn, and Summer Grego and Jenny Grego; her father, John Styf of Grand Haven; sister, Barb (Leon) Atkins of White Cloud; brother, Bob (Joni) Styf of Grand Rapids; her father-in-law, Louis Grego of White Cloud; special lifelong friends, Dale & Kathy Eichenberg of Caledonia; many special friends including the camping , quilting and scrape booking girls. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11am at the First Baptist Church in Newaygo AND a Time of Remembrance and Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1pm at the Newaygo High School Cafeteria following cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Shirley Grego family to assist with medical expenses.
