Shirley M. Hope, age 86, of Hesperia passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at home. Shirley was born on September 9, 1928, to Alfred and Mary Cischke and married Wilfred G. Hope on June 25, 1949. Shirley enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by her children, Sandra Stewart of Huntsville, Alabama, Patricia (Steve) Matthews of Sterling, Michigan, Robert (Lou Spaulding) Hope of Hesperia, and Kenneth Hope of Sterling; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Alfred (Annie) Cischke; and sister, Marlene (Bruce) Leegstra. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred in 2011 and sister, Nancy Harm. Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 5 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Joe Hilyard officiating. There will be visitation on Wednesday from 3 5 PM prior to the service. Interment will be in South Ferry Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan.
