Taylor, Shirley Jeanie Jean Shirley Jeanie Jean Taylor, age 83, of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Spectrum Health- Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born on January 16, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio, to Alfred J. and Marie (Stender) Freier and married John Taylor on March 18, 1944, in Fremont. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Newaygo VFW and member of the United Church of Christ in Newaygo. Jeanie loved her dog Barney and enjoyed reading. Jeanie is survived by her daughters, Linda J. (Charles) Grams of Hesperia and Patricia M. (Terry) York of Newaygo; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grand children; daughter-in-law, Linda Taylor of Newaygo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sons, John Jr., Michael, and Timothy Taylor. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 AM, from the United Church Of Christ in Newaygo with interment in Newaygo Cemetery.
