Sidney Junior Carrier Jr., age 85 of Bridgeton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at his brother's home in Holton following a short decline in his health. Sid was born on May 7, 1938 in Bridgeton Township to Arthur Howard and Irene Luella (Powles) Carrier and has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo County area. Sid had worked in the logging and pulp wood harvesting industry for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Michigan outdoors. Sid is survived by his children, Sid (Ada) Carrier; Robert (Shelly) Carrier; 1 grandchild; several great grandchildren; his brothers, Charles (Cindy Oates) Carrier of Holton; Douglas Carrier of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. Sid was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Smith and his brother, Darold Carrier. Private services will be held at a later date following Sid's wishes for cremation.
