Sorone Dill, age 93, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant. She was born on December 7, 1907, to Vernon Crosby and Lola Alice (Hathaway) Babcock in Lenawee County Michigan and married Harold Dill on September 12, 1929, in Jackson. She worked for Gilbert Chocolate Company and retired from Moehn Chevrolet in Jackson. She is survived by her loving husband Harold of Fremont; daughter Alice (Bertram) Vermeulen of Fremont; grandchildren Edwin Vermeulen of California, Anne (James) Featherstone of Fremont, and Martha (Richard) Kallenbach of Fremont; and 4 great--grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Harold Lee Dill in 1935. Memorial services were held on Sunday, March 25, 2001, at 2:30 p.m. from the Fremont United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Duncan officiating. For a more lasting memorial, the family asks that friends consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation Endowment Fund for the Fremont United Methodist Church.
