Stan Mike Brown, age 61, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon with his family by his side. Stan was born on June 27, 1951 in Fremont to Tony and Dorothy (McGee) Brown. He worked at Gerber Products in the warehouse for over 30 years until his retirement. Stans second family was at the Moose Lodge in Fremont where he spent most nights. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was the best Uncle to al his nieces and nephews and his gentle teasing ways will be missed by all. Stan is survived by his sisters and brother, Emogene Murphy of Fremont, Carolyn Rumsey of Mt. Clemens, Patrick (Kimberly) Brown of Hesperia, and Lois (Leonard Jr.) Harper of Newaygo; 13 nieces and nephews; and 18 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy in 1989; father, Tony in 2010; and brothers, John and Tommy. Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, from 6 8 PM and also on Sunday, June 23, from 1 2 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 PM (following the visitation) at the funeral home with Pastor Curt Chaffee of the Croton Trinity Bible Church officiating.
