Many years of great service and food at his favorite Hot Spots were, Bob Evans, Tim & Toms, Dah-Hu, where he had his own table with a rose on it. Stead & Egger, where he had his own table with no waiting for Pa. The same at Aarons of North Muskegon where Elsie also just took him the menu. Mr. Quick of North Muskegon a favorite breakfast stop where the regulars sang him Happy 95th Birthday and tears of joy ran down our faces. His ultimate HOT SPOT was in Baldwin at Club 37 where the family took mom and dad for many years as the special spot to dine where Pa loved his favorite fish, Walleye, and always one to go. Memories of his wonderful stories of yesteryear when times were really tough. From lard sandwiches during the Depression, walking 8 miles in the snow to get to work for $5 ad day, 25 cent factory lunches and a nickel for a cup of coffee. When Wyatt Earp, Billy The Kid and Jessie James were in real life. He will be greatly missed by all who know him. A soft spoken, hard working, quiet extremely kind gentleman who was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved by all who knew him.
