Stanley J. Gorski, age 91, of White Cloud passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Metron in Big Rapids. Stanley was born on February 2, 1921, in Detroit, to Stanley and Theresa (Zawacki) Gorski and married Mary DiDomenico on May 30, 1942, in Detroit. Stanley worked as a technician for Ford Motor Company and retired from the plant in Detroit. Stanley was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. He loved collecting books, records and movies, loved to travel and camp. Stanley is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Carole (Raymond) Calcaterra of Sterling Heights, David (Susan) Gorski of Sterling Heights, and Michael (Annalisa) Gorski of Portland, Oregon; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores (Dominick) Flasck of White Cloud and Eleanor Bartold of Saint Clair Shores; daughter-in-law, Sheila Gorski; brother-in-law, Tony Cetrone; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Gorski, and sister, Estelle Cetrone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 3, at 11 a.m. from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with Father Peter O. Omogo officiating.
