Stanley P. Pietrowicz, age 75 of White Cloud, formerly of Grand Rapids passed away Sunday, March 10, 2002 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born on December 29, 1926 in Grand Rapids to Martin and Lucy (Ignatowicz) Pietrowicz. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sophie and married Florence Vansickle on October 30, 1981. Florence preceded him in death on December 30, 1997. He married Audrey Allison on July 31, 2001. He had been an Animal Control Officer in Kent County for 23 years until retirement on February 1, 1989 and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and the White Cloud V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of White Cloud; daughter, Julie Russ of Newaygo; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; stepchildren, Ann Howe of Grand Rapids; Stacy (Ken) Span; Cassandra Murphy; Lonny (Jessica) Gomez; his brother Edwin Pietrowicz of Bitely; sister, Margaret Spielmaker of Alanson, Michigan; sister-in-law, Patricia Pietrowicz of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews; special friend, Ron Okrangly of Newaygo. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 15, 2002 from the Crandell Crandell Funeral Home-White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Bernie Allison of the Christian Builders Mission presiding with military rites given by the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsman's Post #4249. Interment was in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the American Lung Association for memorial contributions.
