Stella Arlene Dagen, age, 66 of Holton, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Stella was born on October 2, 1948 in Muskegon to James A. and Margaret F. (Wilson) Rushing and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Stella had been a worked at several greenhouses in Fremont and North Muskegon as a production worker and enjoyed camping and horseback riding in her younger years. Stella was always willing to help others in need and would often open her home to others during the holidays for a meal. Stella is survived by her sons, James (Marie) Bulson of Holton; Joel (DeAnna) Bulson of Holton; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Frances G. Skinner of North Muskegon; Maranda J. Wyant of Hesperia; James D. Rushing of Bloomfield, Indiana; Thomas (Dawn) Rushing of Rothbury; Timothy R. Rushing of Holton; many nieces and nephews. Stella was preceded in death by her significant other, Robert Bob Sherman on June 9, 2012. Memorial services will be announced soon and graveside services will be held in the spring following cremation.
