Stella J. David, age 47 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon. Stella was born on May 6, 1966 in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and later graduated from Tularosa, New Mexico High School. Stella joined the United States Navy, where she met her husband Ron, and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy as a Torpedo Man 2nd Class. Stella and Ron were married on August 13, 1988 in Reno, Nevada and later moved to the Hesperia area in 1994 from San Diego, California. Stella had been a nurses aide at the Pat Street Home in Fremont for several years until her retirement in 2011. Stella was an active member of the Hesperia Baptist Church, enjoyed bird watching and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, attending their sporting and school events. Stella is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ron of Hesperia; her children, Caitlin David of Hesperia; Caleb David of Hesperia; Rebecca David of Phoenix, Arizona; Rachel (Michael) White of Odenton, Maryland; Ryan (Meg) David of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, Gavin David, Kaylor David and Reese David; her mother, Jean (Carl) Ludwig of Roswell, New Mexico; her father, Elvin (Wanda) Jones of Ruidoso, New Mexico; her sister, Cydney (Kerri) Ryon of Colorado, Springs, Colorado; her brother, Robert (Judy) Jones of Ruidoso, New Mexico; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dennis and Beverly David of Hesperia; sister-in-law, Kris (Bill) Rose of Holton; brothers-in-laws, Dennis (Joan) David of Hesperia; Lonny (Sherri) David of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews; 2 great nieces; several aunts and uncles and many special church friends. VISITATION : Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel and 1 hour prior to the funeral services at the Hesperia Baptist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2pm at the Hesperia Baptist Church. INTERMENT : West Hesperia Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Johnson Family Center for Cancer Care.
